Clear Your Browser Cache

The browser's cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites you visit in order to speed up your browsing experience. This article describes how to clear the cache.

To clear your cache on your Google Chrome browser:

  1. Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.

  2. Click Tools.

  3. Click Clear browsing data.

  4. In the dialog that appears, select the checkboxes for the types of information that you want to remove.

  5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete
    Note: select the beginning of time to delete everything.

  6. Click Clear browsing data.

 

To clear your cache on your Mozilla Firefox browser:

  1. Click the Mnu button on your browser toolbar.

  2. Select the Advanced panel.

  3. Click into the Network tab.

  4. In the Cached Web Content section click Clear Now.

  5. Close the Preferences window.
     

To clear your cache on your Internet Explorer 9, 10, or 11:

  1. Click Tools (via the Gear Icon) then Safety.

  2. Click Delete browsing history.

  3. Make sure to uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.

You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies.
 

To clear your cache on your Safari browser:

  1. From the Safari menu select Reset Safari.

  2. From the menu, select the items you want to reset, and then click Reset.

    As of Safari 5.1, Remove all website data covers both cookies and cache.
